Abbas returns to Moore Park

Sydney FC may have their record breakers, they may have Premierships and Championships; but what’s the one thing The Nix have got that Sydney doesn’t? The man himself, King of Hearts – Ali Abbas!

At the 59th minute, he rose from the bench and took his place on the sideline where he waited for the substitution to be called. The entire stadium rose to their feet. Clapping and chanting, they gave Ali the reception he deserves as he stepped out onto the pitch at Moore Park for the first time wearing the Black and Yellow of Wellington Phoenix.

Proving – beyond any doubt – that he was and always will be, the crowd favourite.

There were some glorious moments out on the pitch; our favourite was watching Matt Simon give his former team-mate a hand, helping him to his feet and the video posted by Sydney FC with Ali up to his cheeky shenanigans in the tunnel after the game.

It is fantastic to have such an amazing Baller return to the A-League and on behalf of the team at [FC BALLER], Ali we wish you all the success in the world.
